Four Reasons to Switch to a Propane Gas Grill

Propane grill

Posted: June 22, 2018

Summer officially arrives this week here in southern Maine and New Hampshire, which means it’s prime grilling season in backyards throughout the Seacoast region.

The question is, what kind of grill is in your backyard?

If you’re still planning to labor through Labor Day over an old, trusty-but-rusty hibachi, here are four reasons to make the switch to a propane grill – just in time for your July 4th celebrations:

  • Ease of use – Imagine no more black stains on your hands, no more lighter fluid and no more waiting for the wind to die down so those briquettes will finally catch. To get cooking with propane, simply turn the knob and you’re ready to go – fast.
  • Constant heat and precision heat control – Propane grills deliver heat consistently throughout the cooking space, which makes it much easier to cook food evenly and to safe temperatures. Charcoal grills produce heat unevenly and often need to be relit.
  • No mess – Not only does propane burn cleaner than charcoal, it’s also easier to clean up when you’re done. Simply wipe down your grill to clean off excess food – no more messy briquettes!
  • Tastier, healthier food – Starter fluid can leave a chemical taste food – not very appealing (or healthy). With propane, your burgers will taste like burgers – not like butane.

The bottom line: when it comes to outdoor cooking, nothing beats propane – and when it comes to propane, no one beats P. Gagnon & Son.
